Made in Weston

Following a very successful 2011, Made in Weston has taken the decision to not hold events during 2012.

This is to allow for restructure and reflection as an organisation.

In the meantime, the website will remain active including the facebook and twitter feeds to ensure Made in Weston Makers have a forum to communicate with like minded members.

Announcing our winners for our recent colouring competition, we are featured in the Weston, Worle & Somerset Mercury which was released last Thursday, 1st December 2011.
See a picture of Sophie, our youngest winner of age group 0-4 with Abbie and Becky, organisers of the Made in Weston craft events, on page 29.
Full names of our four winners are: Sophie Ring, Jack Wainwright, Esther Williams and Ellie James. Each winner will have their artwork incorporated in our publicity materials for 2012 and also each won a goody bag each including prizes to inspire their creative development.
Well done everyone who took part, judging was particularly difficult due to the high standard of entries received.

Worlebury Resident’s association have contacted Made in Weston to let members know that they are holding their annual Christmas Fair this Saturday in Worlebury School. Stall are available at this event, WRA do not charge for a stall but ask a 10% contribution of your takings on the day.  To book a stall please contact Jacqueline Harris on 01934 643678 or jacquelineannharris@hotmail.co.uk

Made in Weston hold their finale of the year, today from 10-4.
Weston super Mare Winter Gardens, with 76 local stall holders selling their unique craft items, and a colouring competition too, we’ve got plenty to shout about!

Sophie from Weston Museum has contacted us at MIW to offer members free stalls at their upcoming Christmas events on 10th and 17th Dec to be held in the unique setting of Weston Museum, Burlington street.
Sophie is looking for Christmas Craft offerings and commented on the lovely advent calendars and stockings that MIW members sold through the Museum last year.
Sophie is also keen to get some new items to sell in the MIW display cabinets in their shop.

Made in Weston are proud to be at Clevedon Craft Centre today from 10-5. We are collaborating as part of Clevedon Craft Centre’s 40 year anniversary celebrations.
Come and take a look, with free entry and plenty of unique gift ideas, also a pumpkin hunt for the kids in the lead up to Halloween!

Made in Weston are at Clevedon Craft Centre Sat 22nd Oct.
Open from 10, we will be dotted throughout the site alongside resident craftspeople who have studios permanently.
There is also a seasonal pumpkin hunt so pop along and see all that is on offer.
